"We see Ida Haendel, one of the greatest Violinists of all time, trying to convince her dog to get off the car. After several very obvious refusals of the dog, Ida looks up to me to share her amusement about the situation. Again a „click“ in a moment which couldn’t describe the situation, the characters here better. Pure love, and pure madness speaks out of their eyes and they look at me like that for a reason I guess. Ida Haendel died in 2020. I met her 3 times and could witness such a „lust for life“ like I could find only very rarely in other humans." - Phillip Kaminiak

Meet Philip Kiminiak

Phillip Kaminiak is a German-Polish photographer and filmmaker based in Mexico-City, Mexico. He graduated from „Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin" in 2013.

His short films and documentaries were screened at film festivals all over the world and he created more than 400 Commercials and music-videos until today.

Phillip began to expand his eyes and skills to the field of photography. He worked on many commercial projects for music magazines and artists, in fashion and advertising.

His personal work is a rather wild mix of street, portrait and documentary photography. intimate moments, quiet observations and weird sceneries. For him personally photography is a form of self-expression meant for himself and those viewers - who love to have this constant question mark in the back of their heads when discovering his pictures
