Meet Amanda Friedman

About the artist

Originally from suburban Detroit, Amanda started her career by taking pictures of up-and-coming actors and musicians in L.A. for Nylon magazine. Soon after, The London Sunday Telegraph discovered her work and started assigning her for portraits of celebrities. Sarah Silverman, Morgan Freeman, Orlando Bloom, Holly Hunter have been in front of Amandas camera. Aside from portrait photography Amanda loves to capture L.A. when the sun goes down. Her night landscapes show L.A. at its most obscure and brilliant, and finally make us understand the city’s gloom and color. Whatever she portraits her images are clean, graphic, natural and unforced. Amanda is based in Los Angeles, USA.
