Stepanyda' White Shirt. The shirt is embellished with symmetrical embroidery, which we name vytynanka after the art form of paper openwork. The embroidered composition is inspired by the 1695 intaglio ‘The Joy of the Dnipro Waters’ by Leontii Tarasevych and the 1836 wooden beam by Danylo Ekoliuk. The geometry of the embroidery adopts the decorative visual rhythm of the Khan Palace, Bakhchysaray.
