Okua Bag

Designed and crafted by Mexican foundation Ensamble Artesano in collaboration with Niu Matat.
This bag is made by the artisans of the Social Enterprise of Women Artisans Semati, Koroka, from Chihuahua with chakira.
By means of the chakira technique in loom and needle, the Rarámuri craftswomen were placing one by one the pieces to achieve this unique and special design that stands out for its wine, mustard, gray and light gray colors.
Niu Matat is a platform very similar to Taller Maya, they work in different regions in Mexico. For Ensamble they collaborated with designer Natalia Tannenbaum.
