"10 years ago, during a photo shoot in Spain, I found a small homeless dog looking for food. I gave him the name "Tschikko Leopold von Werner" and took him back to Germany. From the first day I noticed that he looked like a lion with his bright eyes and the color of his hair. I made him a mane and started taking portraits of him in various places in my adopted home of Hamburg. Now Tschikko Leopold von Werner is conquering the city as the famous GROSSSTADTLÖWE (English translation: big city lion)." - Julia Marie Werner

The heartwarming story of the "Big City Lion" went totally viral - from Hamburg to Tokyo.
